My Favorites

My All Time Favorites

That's  a tough thing to say because I love so many books!

But these hold a special place in my heart;

Gone With the Wind by Margaret Mitchell(since I read it in 7th grade!)

A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith

The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks

I could add so many but these are lifelong favorites

Classics

Hmmmm. My feelings are mixed. There are some I love. Some I've read in literature classes. But I am NOT one who thinks that I have to finish a book if I start it, even if I don't care for it at all. Life is too short for that! It does take some time for many books though. I give it 2 or 3 chapters and if I'm not excited to keep reading, I don't! Some favorites are;

To Kill a Mockingbird

The Color Purple

The Great Gatsby

The Grapes of Wrath

Janet Eyre

The Scarlet Letter

Dracula

(still one of the scariest books I've ever read!)

And there are some that I have no interest in. Some I've tried, like Catcher in the Rye, so many times, just can't do it!

Newer

Working in a public library for a bibliophile like me is kind of like the proverbial "kid in a candy store"! My library card is often full. And yes I often have overdue books. Luckily the library system I work for does not have overdue fines. No system should, in my opinion.

My newer favorites will be listed on my Facebook page.

Check there to see what I love to read, what I read, what I recommend.
